Israeli Passengers Recount Terrifying Hijacking Attempt on Flydubai Flight

Passengers aboard a Flydubai flight from Dubai recounted harrowing moments during what they described as a hijacking attempt, which ultimately led to an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia. One Israeli passenger filmed himself, stating, "We are in the process of hijacking a plane. We have now taken control of the terrorists. We are about to land. Anyone who hears me - we need help. We are landing in Tabuk." He added that all passengers were safe except for the pilot.

Another passenger described how a perpetrator armed with a knife attacked the pilots, stabbing one of them. Several passengers, including Israelis, reportedly intervened, overpowering the attacker and preventing him from reaching the cockpit. "We just jumped and got him out of the cockpit, a few guys," he said. "Everything is fine now. We are probably landing in Saudi Arabia."

Miriam, an Israeli passenger who spoke to i24NEWS from the Saudi airport, described hearing screams about an hour or two before landing. She recounted that the cockpit door was opened, revealing a scene of blood, indicating an attempt to murder the pilot with a knife. She felt the plane lose control and believed they were about to crash.

According to Miriam, Israeli passengers were instrumental in neutralizing the attacker. She also noted the presence of a nurse and a doctor who provided initial treatment to the injured pilot. Several pilots on board reportedly took control of the aircraft, guiding it to an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia. Another passenger stated that her father and two others managed to stabilize the plane after the attacker stabbed both pilots.
