Tunnel Network and Weapons Cache Discovered Near Israeli Border

Security and political circles in Israel are abuzz following the discovery of extensive excavation infrastructure and weaponry in the Palestinian city of Qalqilya. The findings have reignited concerns about a potential underground threat and raids targeting communities along the seam line and the Sharon region.

Several days ago, during an intelligence operation in Qalqilya, a tunnel approximately 25 meters deep was uncovered in its excavation stages. Another tunnel, in its initial digging phase, was also found. Inside the completed tunnel, authorities discovered M16 rifles, a sniper rifle, a large quantity of ammunition, and materials for manufacturing explosives.

Political figures are warning that these discoveries indicate meticulous preparations for a broad offensive operation aimed at Israeli communities in the Sharon area, including Kfar Saba. The find has led to accusations against the Palestinian Authority for building a significant military force. There is also sharp criticism directed at the Israeli government, with claims of hesitant policy and a lack of initiative from political leadership.

Calls have been made for decisive action against the Palestinian Authority's infrastructure, immediate reinforcement of forces along the seam line, and preparation of nearby communities for direct military engagement. MK Forer stated, "The question is not just what the terrorists are preparing. The question is what the Israeli government is doing to stop it. Because after October 7th, we can no longer say 'we didn't know,' 'we didn't see,' or 'we didn't warn.' We warned before. We are warning now."
