Israeli Forces Find Weapons, Not Tunnel, in West Bank Operation

Israeli security forces conducted a nighttime operation in Qalqilya in the West Bank, following intelligence indicating the presence of weapons in the area. During the operation, led by the Ephraim Brigade, forces discovered two shafts approximately 12 meters deep. Adjacent to these shafts, they found weapons including an M16 rifle, a hunting rifle, a pistol, and ammunition, all of which were confiscated.

Contrary to some unofficial reports, after examining the shafts, the military determined that they did not lead to any tunnel structures and were not close to the separation barrier. The forces also apprehended four individuals suspected of terrorist activity, who are currently under investigation.

Security forces are continuing a broad operation in the region to locate and neutralize any additional shafts and to find more weapons. The military stated its commitment to proactively combating terrorism throughout the Judea and Samaria region and ensuring resident safety.
