Israeli Forces Discover Tunnel, Weapons, Arrest Four in Qalqilya
Israeli police and border guards uncovered a partially dug tunnel, at least 25 meters deep, along with various weapons, during a security operation in the West Bank city of Qalqilya. Four suspects were arrested in connection with the discovery.
The operation, based on precise intelligence, was conducted by the crime fighting unit of the Judea and Samaria district police in cooperation with border guard forces. During the search, forces found a tunnel whose excavation was not yet complete, reaching a depth of approximately 25 meters. They also discovered the beginning of another tunnel being dug at the same location.
Seized items included an M16 rifle, a sniper rifle, ammunition, magazines, mobile phones, agricultural fertilizer (which can be used as a precursor for explosives), and a DVR for surveillance cameras. The four arrested individuals were handed over to security services for further investigation.
