Israeli Forces Discover Deep Tunnel, Weapons Cache in Qalqilya
Israeli police and Border Police forces uncovered a tunnel under construction, approximately 25 meters deep, in the West Bank city of Qalqilya. The operation, conducted by the Samaria Anti-Crime Unit in the Judea and Samaria District in cooperation with Border Police fighters, was based on precise intelligence.
During the search of the site, forces discovered the initial digging of another tunnel within the same complex. In addition to the tunnel infrastructure, a cache of weapons and equipment was seized. This included an M16 rifle, a sniper rifle, a large quantity of ammunition, magazines, mobile phones, a DVR device, and fertilizer, which can be used as raw material for explosives.
Four suspects present at the location were arrested and transferred for further investigation. Israeli police stated that forces will continue proactive operations to uncover digging infrastructure and weapons in the Samaria region, aiming to apprehend all involved in terrorism and crime.
