Weapons Tunnel Uncovered in Qalqilya, Four Arrested
Israeli police forces uncovered a partially dug tunnel in the Palestinian city of Qalqilya, along with a deep excavation route and the beginning of another tunnel. During the operation, which involved officers from the Judea and Samaria District's crime-fighting unit and Border Police, forces discovered the tunnel extending at least 25 meters deep. In addition to the underground structures, a significant cache of weapons and equipment was found. This included an M16 rifle, a sniper rifle, numerous magazines and ammunition, a DVR device, mobile phones, and chemical fertilizer, which can be used to create explosive devices.
Four suspects found at the scene were arrested and taken for further questioning. The operation was based on intelligence and targeted operational activity.
