IDF Seals Tunnel Discovered Near Jerusalem, Suspect Arrested
Exclusive footage obtained by Channel 14 reveals a tunnel discovered near the West Bank settlement of Givat Ze'ev, close to the separation barrier. The entrance to the tunnel was concealed within an ancient water cistern in the Palestinian village of Al-Jib.
The tunnel was found on August 28 and was in an advanced stage of excavation. Security forces conducted operational and intelligence activities in the area following the discovery. During these operations, a suspect was apprehended carrying digging tools.
On the evening prior to the report, soldiers from the Border Police, alongside IDF forces, completed the sealing of the tunnel. Security officials stated that efforts to locate and thwart infrastructure near the separation barrier will continue.
