Tunnel and Weapons Cache Discovered Near Kfar Saba
Security forces uncovered a tunnel and a significant weapons cache in Qalqilya, just kilometers from the Israeli city of Kfar Saba and close to major transportation routes. The tunnel, which had reached a depth of at least 25 meters, was discovered during an operation by the Judea and Samaria District's anti-crime unit and Border Police.
Intelligence information led forces to the site, where they found the partially dug tunnel. In the same compound, authorities also discovered the beginning of another tunnel excavation.
The search yielded a sniper rifle, an M16 assault rifle, a large quantity of ammunition, and fertilizer, a key component in the manufacturing of explosive devices. Mobile phones and a DVR recording device were also seized.
Four suspects were arrested at the scene and taken for questioning regarding the purpose of the tunnel and the weapons. Police stated they will continue to proactively dismantle such infrastructure and bring those involved to justice.
