Police Discover Weapons Cache in Northern Israel
Israeli police uncovered a hidden weapons cache in the Galilee region, specifically in the town of Kamanah, as part of an ongoing effort to combat illegal firearms. The operation, which involved a police dog named Loki, resulted in the discovery of a "Carlo"-type rifle, a Glock pistol, and several magazines concealed among bushes.
A 30-year-old local resident was arrested on suspicion of illegal weapons possession. Following interrogation, he was brought before the Acre court, which extended his detention until September 3rd.
Police stated that this find is part of broader efforts to seize illegal weapons in the Northern District. Since the beginning of the year, authorities in the region have confiscated over 610 firearms.
