Israeli Police Uncover Weapons Cache in Kafr Kanna, Arrest Two Suspects

Israeli police in the Northern District discovered a weapons cache in an agricultural building in Kafr Kanna earlier this week, following a tip-off. The cache included an improvised pistol, an M16 rifle, magazines, and a large amount of ammunition. Two local residents, aged 18 and 20, were arrested in connection with the find. Their detention has been extended multiple times by the court, with police planning to request a further extension for one suspect, while the other’s detention is extended until Sunday.

Since the start of the year, Northern District police and Border Police fighters have seized over 600 illegal weapons. Authorities stated they will continue their efforts to locate illegal arms and prosecute those involved in violent incidents.
