Israeli Forces Raid Qalqilya, Seize Weapons, Arrest Four Suspects
Israeli security forces conducted a nighttime operation in the West Bank city of Qalqilya, acting on intelligence regarding the presence of weapons. During the raid, led by the Ephraim Brigade, soldiers discovered two shafts approximately 12 meters deep. Near these shafts, they found an M16 rifle, a hunting rifle, a pistol, and ammunition.
Following an investigation of the shafts, the suspicion that they were part of a tunnel was dismissed. The military also stated that the shafts were not close to the "seam line," a term referring to the barrier separating Israel from the West Bank. The IDF characterized earlier public statements about the shafts as "irresponsible."
In parallel operations, Israeli forces apprehended four individuals suspected of terrorist activity. These suspects were transferred to security forces for further interrogation.
