Israeli Reservist Among Suspects Detained in Illegal Entry to Qalqilya with Military Weapon Seized

Ten Israelis entered the A-area of Qalqilya to recover a stolen motorcycle, leading to a security incident and arrests. The group, including an active-duty reservist carrying an Israeli M16 rifle, was found with knives and batons in four vehicles. The weapon was confiscated and the case referred to the Military Police Investigations Unit. Nine suspects were released under restrictions, including a ban from the West Bank, while one remains in custody pending an extension hearing.

The incident began after reports of a disturbance involving four Israeli vehicles in Qalqilya, located in the Ephraim Brigade area. Border Police and IDF Panther Battalion forces responded to the scene. The ten Israelis had entered the city illegally to locate a motorcycle stolen from Elad the day before, which was believed to have been taken to Qalqilya. Upon identifying the group as Israeli, local residents gathered and attempted to surround the vehicles until security forces intervened to extract them.
