Israeli Soldier and Two Civilians Rescued After Illegal Entry into Jericho

During the weekend, an Israeli soldier serving in active duty and two Israeli civilians were rescued from the Palestinian city of Jericho after entering the city illegally. The Civil Administration forces received a report overnight about an Israeli woman wandering in Jericho, located in the Beka'a and Valleys Division, which posed a risk to her safety. Upon receiving the report, officers from the Beka'a military coordination and liaison headquarters provided immediate protection and coordinated her transfer to security forces. Initial investigations revealed that the woman was a soldier who had entered Jericho with an Arab Israeli friend to attend a birthday celebration in the city center.

Several hours later, another report was received about two Israeli women speaking Hebrew in the villas neighborhood of Jericho. Security forces acted promptly to rescue them and transfer them to the authorities. The two women explained that they had entered the city to meet friends they had met on a trip to Sinai. All three women were taken for police questioning, with the soldier subsequently transferred to the military police for further investigation.
