Israel Braces for Heatwave Before Autumn Chill and Potential Rains
Israel is experiencing a rise in temperatures on Monday, with conditions expected to be fair after morning cloud cover dissipates. Temperatures will be slightly higher than average for this time of year, particularly in mountainous and inland areas. No significant temperature changes are anticipated for Tuesday.
By Thursday, a cooling trend will begin, continuing into the weekend. Early forecasts suggest the weekend will bring the first hints of autumn, with a good chance of localized rain showers in northern Israel on Friday. The forecast indicates a potential return to warmer weather at the start of next week, around the time of Yom Kippur.
Dr. Amir Givati, director of the Meteorological Service, stated that more substantial weather shifts, including widespread rain, are possible later in September and into October. However, he cautioned that due to the long-range nature of these predictions, continuous monitoring of weather patterns is necessary.
