Rain Expected by End of Week as Temperatures Drop
The Israeli Meteorological Service forecasts a warming trend in the coming days, with temperatures expected to be 3-4 degrees Celsius above the seasonal average inland. They are warning of heatwave conditions, with a change in trend anticipated for Thursday, bringing a drop in temperatures.
According to the service, a significant drop in temperatures is expected towards the end of the week, potentially bringing localized rain in the north. Friday, in particular, has a good chance of seeing scattered showers focused on northern Israel. The weekend is predicted to be mild, with the first signs of autumn.
Looking ahead to early next week, around the Yom Kippur holiday, another warming trend is indicated. However, the Meteorological Service notes that more substantial weather changes, including widespread rain, might arrive at the end of September and continue into October. Due to the long-range forecast, continuous monitoring is advised.
