Israel Meteorological Service Issues Heatwave Warnings Nationwide
The Israel Meteorological Service has issued early warnings for a significant heatwave expected across the country on Monday, lasting from morning until evening. Red, orange, and yellow alerts have been declared for widespread areas, stretching from the southern to the northern regions.
A yellow alert for heat stress is in effect for numerous locations, including the southern Golan Heights, eastern Upper Galilee, western Lower Galilee, the Carmel region, the northern, central, and southern coastal plains, the Shephelah, Samaria, northern Samaria, the Judean Desert fringe, northern and eastern Negev, southern Negev, Eilat Bay, and southern Arava. This alert is valid from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
An orange alert for heat stress is anticipated in the southern Judean Desert and the Dead Sea area from Monday at 11:00 AM until Tuesday at 3:00 AM. Another orange alert is forecast for eastern Lower Galilee, the Hula Valley, the Jezreel Valley, the northern Judean Desert and Dead Sea, and northern Arava, from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM on Monday.
The highest level, a red alert, is expected in the Beit She'an Valley, the Kinneret Basin, and the Jordan Valley between 11:00 AM and 7:00 PM on Monday, indicating extreme heat conditions.
