Israel Weather Forecast: Warm Temperatures Persist Through Mid-September

Israel is expected to experience warm weather on Tuesday, September 15, with temperatures slightly above the seasonal average. The Mediterranean Sea will be warm, with water temperatures reaching up to 30 degrees Celsius and moderate to noticeable waves ranging from 50 to 80 cm. The Sea of Galilee (Kinneret) will also see water temperatures of 30 degrees Celsius, with weaker waves between 30 and 60 cm. In the Red Sea at Eilat, water temperatures will be around 27 degrees Celsius with light waves of 20 to 40 cm.

Air temperatures across the country will be high. Jerusalem will reach 32°C during the day and 21°C at night. Tel Aviv will experience 32°C day and 25°C night, while Netanya will see 31°C day and 24°C night. Ariel is forecast for 34°C day and 21°C night, and Haifa for 32°C day and 23°C night. Northern cities like Afula, Tiberias (Kinneret), Kiryat Shmona, and Katzrin in the Golan Heights will reach 37°C during the day. Coastal cities such as Ashdod and Ashkelon will be 32°C day and 23-24°C night, respectively. Gaza will have 32°C day and 22°C night.

In the south, Be'er Sheva will reach 35°C day and 21°C night, while Arad will be 35°C day and 23°C night. The Dead Sea area near Ein Gedi will be very hot, with 39°C during the day and 28°C at night. Eilat will see the highest temperatures, reaching 41°C during the day and 29°C at night. The weather is expected to remain unchanged on Wednesday, with a slight one-degree drop in temperature on Thursday.
