Netanyahu Claims Iran Regime Nearing Collapse

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited the Hermon Ridge in Syria on Wednesday, asserting that Israel is "very close to defeating the regime in Iran." He stated that Israel will not permit any "terror army" to establish itself on its border, emphasizing that defeating the Iranian regime is the primary objective and that the entire "axis" will ultimately fall. Netanyahu made these remarks during a visit where he received an operational briefing on the northern front from the head of the Northern Command, Major General Rafi Milo, and the commander of the 210th Division, Brigadier General Yair Palai. The visit was also attended by Defense Minister Israel Katz and Deputy Chief of Staff Major General Tamir Yadai.

Standing at the Hermon Ridge, Netanyahu highlighted Israel's control over the region, stating, "Damascus is here, Lebanon is there, Syrian Golan Heights is there, and we control the entire area from the Hermon Ridge to the Yarmouk River, and from here to the Mediterranean Sea, absolute control like never before." He reiterated that Israel would not allow a terror army to be based on its border, calling this a significant achievement of the "War of Return." He wished Israelis and soldiers a happy new year.

Earlier, during a cabinet meeting on Sunday, Netanyahu claimed that Israel is stronger than ever and its enemies are weaker. He stated that together with the United States, Israel has achieved significant successes in averting existential threats, including nuclear bombs and ballistic missiles, and has severely impacted the Iranian axis. He further asserted that the Iranian regime's end is near, describing it as weak and struggling for survival. Netanyahu warned that Iran knows not to attack Israel, as it would face an unimaginable blow if it did.
