Netanyahu Vows to Prevent Terror Groups on Syrian Border
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited the Mount Hermon salient on the Syrian border Wednesday, accompanied by Defense Minister Israel Katz and Deputy IDF Chief of Staff Maj. Gen. Tamir Yadai. During the visit, Netanyahu received an operational briefing from Northern Command chief Maj. Gen. Rafi Milo and Division 210 commander Brig. Gen. Yair Palai.
Netanyahu stated that Israel controls the area between the Hermon salient and the Yarmouk River. "We will not allow any terror army to establish itself on our border, and this is one of the tremendous achievements we have attained in the War of Return," he declared, referring to the ongoing conflict.
The Prime Minister emphasized that his central mission is confronting Iran. "The main work is to defeat the terror regime in Iran. We are very close to it. We know that the entire axis will finally fall. We are committed to doing this, and we will do it," he asserted.
At the end of the visit, Netanyahu wished the citizens and soldiers of Israel a happy new year.
