The story · English

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, accompanied by Defense Minister Israel Katz and Deputy Chief of Staff Maj. Gen. Tamir Yadai, visited the Hermon Salient in Syria on Wednesday. During the visit, Netanyahu stated, "We will not allow any terror army to establish itself on our border, and this is one of the tremendous achievements we have attained in the War of Return." He asserted complete control over the area from the Hermon to the Yarmouk River and extending to the Mediterranean Sea, describing it as unprecedented.

Netanyahu emphasized that the conflict is ongoing. "From these heights, there is still work to be done, the main work is to defeat the terror regime in Iran. We are very close to that. We know that the entire axis will finally fall. We are committed to doing this and we will do it," he declared.

While at the military post overlooking Syrian territory, the officials received a security briefing on the activities of forces operating in the sector. The briefing was delivered by the commander of the Northern Command, Maj. Gen. Rafi Milo, and the commander of the 210th Division, Brig. Gen. Yair Palai.
