Netanyahu Vows Iran Will Not Obtain Nuclear Weapons
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed reports on Thursday of renewed Iranian efforts to advance its nuclear program, stating unequivocally that Iran would not possess nuclear weapons as long as he is prime minister. He affirmed this commitment from the Western Wall, ahead of the Jewish New Year.
Netanyahu referenced a statement by U.S. President Donald Trump, confirming that Iran is attempting to re-arm with nuclear weapons. The Prime Minister asserted that after Israel destroyed Iran's immediate capability to produce nuclear bombs, they are trying again. He also detailed Israeli military actions against the Iranian axis, citing significant strikes in the Gaza Strip, the destruction of the Beaufort Ridge in Lebanon, and ongoing operations at the Ali Tahar Ridge.
Earlier, the Wall Street Journal reported that senior U.S. and Middle Eastern officials indicated Iran has resumed ballistic missile production in underground facilities, utilizing existing component stockpiles. Intelligence suggests activity at several subterranean sites, including the Khujir missile facility in southeastern Iran. The report also noted that Iran is primarily assembling new missiles from existing components in more limited quantities than before the conflict.
