Netanyahu at Syrian Border: "We Are Close to Toppling Iran's Regime"
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited the Hermon Ridge in Syria on Wednesday, accompanied by Defense Minister Israel Katz and Deputy Chief of Staff Maj. Gen. Tamir Yadai. At a military post overlooking Syria, Netanyahu received a briefing on operational activities in the area from the Commander of the Northern Command, Maj. Gen. Rafi Milo, and the Commander of the 210th Division, Brig. Gen. Yair Palai.
Standing at the Hermon Ridge, with Damascus, Lebanon, and the Syrian Golan Heights visible, Netanyahu stated, "We control the entire area from the Hermon Ridge to the Yarmouk River, and from there to the Mediterranean Sea, with absolute control unlike anything seen before." He emphasized that Israel would not allow any "terror army" to establish itself on its border, calling this a significant achievement of the "War of Uprising."
Netanyahu declared that the "main task" remaining is to "overthrow the terror regime in Iran," asserting, "We are very close to it." He added, "We know the entire axis will eventually fall. We are committed to doing this, and we will do it."
