IDF Eliminates Hezbollah Commander Responsible for Sufa Post Attack
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Shin Bet security agency have eliminated Muhammad Mahmoud Marshad Alqadi, a company commander in Hezbollah's elite Nukhba unit. The targeted strike occurred in the Khan Yunis area of southern Gaza.
Alqadi was personally involved in leading the attack on the Sufa military post during the events of October 7, 2023. He also played a role in holding hostages in the Rafah area during the subsequent conflict.
In recent times, Alqadi had been engaged in training new recruits for Hezbollah and rebuilding the organization's damaged infrastructure. The military stated that he was advancing plans for new attacks against Israeli civilians and soldiers, thereby violating ceasefire agreements.
The strike was carried out to neutralize a direct threat to the country's security. Southern Command units are maintaining control of the region and are prepared to thwart any attempts to disrupt order.
