IDF Eliminates Hamas Nukhba Commander Responsible for Kibbutz Sufa Attack and Hostage Holding
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed on Friday the elimination of Hamas operative Muhammad Mahmoud Marshed Al-Qadi, a Nukhba battalion commander. Al-Qadi was killed in an airstrike in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, on Wednesday. According to the IDF, Al-Qadi led the raid on Kibbutz Sufa during the October 7th massacre and was subsequently involved in holding hostages in Rafah.
During the ongoing conflict, Al-Qadi was also reportedly responsible for training Hamas operatives and working to restore the organization's capabilities. The IDF stated that he had been developing terror plans against Israeli forces and civilians, systematically violating the ceasefire.
"The terrorist was eliminated in order to remove the threat he posed," the IDF said in a statement. "IDF forces in the Southern Command are deployed in the area according to the agreement and will continue to operate to remove any immediate threat."
