IDF and Shin Bet Eliminate Hamas Commander Responsible for Kibbutz Nir Oz Attack
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Shin Bet security agency announced the elimination of a Hamas Nukhba force commander who played a key role in the October 7th massacre and subsequently held hostages. The strike occurred two days prior in the Khan Yunis area of southern Gaza.
The eliminated operative, Muhammad Mahmoud Marshad Alqadi, commanded a Nukhba unit within Hamas's military wing. He led the assault on the Sufa military post during the October 7th attacks. Throughout the ongoing conflict, Alqadi was involved in holding hostages captive by Hamas in the Rafah area.
In recent times, Alqadi had been training Hamas operatives and working to restore the organization's capabilities. He was also advancing terror plans against IDF forces and Israeli civilians, systematically violating the ceasefire. His elimination was carried out to neutralize the threat he posed.
IDF forces in the Southern Command are deployed in the area and will continue operations to remove any immediate threats, in accordance with agreements.
