IDF Eliminates Hamas Commander Responsible for Sufa Base Attack
The Israeli military and Shin Bet announced Wednesday the elimination of a senior Hamas operative, Muhammad Mahmoud Marshad al-Qadi, who commanded a Nukhba company. He was killed in a targeted strike in the Khan Younis area on September 2nd.
According to the Shin Bet, al-Qadi participated in and led the October 7th attack on the Sufa base. During the ongoing conflict, he was also involved in holding hostages in Hamas captivity in the Rafah area.
More recently, al-Qadi had been leading the training of Hamas operatives and working to restore the organization's capabilities. The strike was carried out to neutralize the threat he posed.
