New Hapoel Be'er Sheva Signing Amankwah Forson Spotted at Stadium

Amankwah Forson, the expected replacement for Kings Kangwa at Hapoel Be'er Sheva, was seen in the stands alongside club owner Alona Barkat during the team's match against Hapoel Haifa on Saturday. Although not yet officially announced as the team's new player, the 23-year-old Ghanaian midfielder was present at the Turner Stadium.

Forson is set to join the Israeli club on loan from Norwich City, with an option for Hapoel Be'er Sheva to purchase him for €2 million. He is reportedly arriving in playing condition, suggesting a potentially immediate integration into the team. Forson was previously acquired by Norwich from Salzburg for €4.5 million, where he played alongside Oscar Gloukh. However, his tenure at Norwich was reportedly disappointing.

Last season, Forson played in 20 matches across all competitions, scoring 2 goals and providing one assist. He also dealt with hamstring injuries that sidelined him for a cumulative period of nearly four months, impacting his standing within the team. Despite this anticipated signing, Hapoel Be'er Sheva may not be finished in the transfer window. Barkat is reportedly interested in adding another Israeli midfielder at the last minute, but significant further moves are not expected beyond that potential acquisition.
