Hapoel Be'er Sheva Signs Ghanaian Midfielder Amankwah Forson

Ghanaian midfielder Amankwah Forson arrived in Israel on Tuesday night to undergo medical tests and sign with the Israeli champions, Hapoel Be'er Sheva. The 23-year-old joins on loan from Norwich City, with an option for Be'er Sheva to purchase him for 2 million euros. Forson is expected to be match-fit, allowing for a nearly immediate integration into the squad.

Despite this signing, Hapoel Be'er Sheva may not be finished in the transfer window. Owner Alona Barkat is reportedly interested in adding another Israeli midfielder at the last minute. However, beyond that potential move, the club is not anticipated to make further significant acquisitions.

The club expressed satisfaction with their summer transfer window activity, having already signed eight players prior to Forson's arrival. These include Niv Yehoshua, Marko Wolf, Itay Rotman, Pedro Amador, Joao Victor, Yonas Malede, Idan Nachmias, and striker Adriaan Grbic, who joined recently. Hapoel Be'er Sheva stated that the reinforced and high-quality squad will provide solutions for both the Europa League and domestic league competitions.

With the Israeli transfer window remaining open for another two weeks, further player movements, including potential departures like Ilon Almog and Yoni Stoyanov, are possible. The team currently has a crowded striker position with five players, including Grbic, Malede, Igor Zlatanovic, Javon East, and Amit Ouhana. Javon East is expected to play on the right wing. The club currently has no plans to loan out any of its strikers before the January transfer window.
