Hapoel Be'er Sheva Secures Ghanaian Midfielder Amankwah Forson on Loan

Ghanaian midfielder Amankwah Forson, 23, arrived in Israel on Tuesday night to finalize a loan move to Israeli champions Hapoel Be'er Sheva. Forson joins from English club Norwich City, with Hapoel Be'er Sheva holding a purchase option for approximately 2 million euros. He is expected to be match-fit and integrate quickly into the squad.

Despite Forson's arrival, owner Alona Barkat is reportedly considering adding another Israeli midfielder before the transfer window closes. However, significant further activity is not anticipated. The club is generally satisfied with its summer acquisitions, which have already brought eight new players to the team, including striker Adrian Grileš who joined recently. Hapoel Be'er Sheva believes the expanded squad is strong enough for both domestic and Europa League competitions.

The Israeli transfer window remains open for another two weeks, allowing for potential player departures, such as Ilon Almog and Joni Stoyanov, and possibly further signings. The team currently has a crowded striker position with five players, including Forson's compatriot Jawon Isaac, who is expected to play on the right wing. No strikers are currently slated for loan moves before the January transfer window.
