Hapoel Be'er Sheva Secures Amankwah Forson on Loan with Option to Buy

Ghanaian midfielder Amankwah Forson, 23, has arrived in Israel to finalize a loan move to Israeli champions Hapoel Be'er Sheva from Norwich City. Forson landed late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning, will undergo medical tests, and is expected to sign with the club on Wednesday. The deal includes an option for Hapoel Be'er Sheva to purchase Forson's contract for 2 million euros. He is reportedly in playing shape, suggesting a quick integration into the team.

Despite this signing, Hapoel Be'er Sheva's owner, Alona Barkat, is reportedly interested in adding another Israeli midfielder before the transfer window closes. However, beyond that potential acquisition, the club is not expected to make further moves. The team is satisfied with its current roster, which has already seen eight new players added during the summer transfer window, including striker Adrian Grile, who joined on Tuesday. These additions are intended to strengthen the squad for both domestic and European competitions.

The Israeli transfer window remains open for another two weeks, meaning further player movements, including potential departures like Ilon Almog and Yoni Stoyanov, are possible. Hapoel Be'er Sheva currently has a crowded striker position with five players, including Forson's expected arrival. While the club is not planning to loan out any strikers before the January transfer window, Javon East is expected to shift to right wing.
