Israeli Police Transfer Investigation of Missing Mother and Daughter to Lahav 433, Send Team to Vienna

The investigation into the disappearance of Mally and Liel Yahalomi, a mother and daughter who went missing in Vienna, has been transferred to Israel's Lahav 433 unit. The police have established two command centers operating around the clock, one in Israel and one abroad, under the direction of Police Commissioner Danni Levi. Additional police representatives are en route to Vienna to assist with the case.

Phone tracking conducted by Israeli and Austrian authorities indicates that the two women were last located near a large train station complex in Vienna, which includes a park, during the past weekend. Since then, there have been no further signals from their phones, no credit card activity, and no new leads. Investigators are examining whether the women carried large sums of cash and if they deliberately erased location data from their mobile devices.

Mally and Liel had been traveling together in Europe, visiting Prague before taking a train to Vienna over the weekend. They were scheduled to return to Israel on a flight from Prague but did not board. Chabad emissary in Vienna, Reuven Timsit, told Kan News that local authorities are fully mobilized but remain without any clues. He described the situation as very worrying, emphasizing the complexity since the disappearance occurred in a major European tourist hub, making the lack of any trace on phones, credit cards, or surveillance footage particularly perplexing.
