Israeli Mother and Daughter Go Missing in Vienna, Urgent Search Underway

Mali and Liel Yahalomi, an Israeli mother and daughter, have been missing in Vienna, Austria, since last Friday. The two women traveled to Vienna for a vacation but lost all contact after the start of the Sabbath. The Israeli Embassy in Austria issued an urgent appeal on Tuesday for help locating them, asking anyone with information to contact emergency numbers or local police.

Mali's brother-in-law, Amir Rodnik, shared that the last communication was a family group message on Friday before the Sabbath, where they wrote, "We arrived at the apartment, Shabbat Shalom," after which all contact ceased. The women were expected to return to Israel on an El Al flight from Vienna on Tuesday night at 21:46 local time but did not board the plane.

The disappearance has raised serious concerns as no clues have emerged regarding their whereabouts or the circumstances behind their vanishing. This incident occurs during peak tourist season when many Israelis travel to Europe, with over 55,000 Israelis visiting Austria in the past month alone, including around 42,000 to Vienna.

Vienna is a popular destination for Israeli tourists and serves as a hub for international organizations and diplomatic activity. The city has also gained a reputation as a global espionage center. The Israeli Embassy continues to coordinate efforts to find Mali and Liel Yahalomi and urges the public to assist in the search.
