Israeli Police Representative Joins Search for Missing Mother and Daughter in Vienna

Israeli police have dispatched a representative to Europol in Vienna to assist in the search for Mally and Liel Yahalomi, a mother and daughter missing since last Friday in Vienna. Their phones were last tracked near a train station in the city on the previous Saturday. The two were expected to return to Israel on a flight from Prague but did not board, raising concerns about their safety.

The search involves cooperation between Israeli and Austrian security and law enforcement agencies, including the Israeli police, Austrian national police, Mossad, the Foreign Ministry, and the Israeli embassy in Vienna. The family filed a missing persons report at the Modi'in police station in Israel. Authorities have checked local hospitals to see if the women were admitted anonymously, but no leads have emerged.

The women, who lead a religious lifestyle, were last located in a public area near the train station that includes a park. Police also investigated the possibility of a traffic accident but ruled it out after confirming they traveled by train. Their apartment was searched, but their belongings were missing, suggesting they may have left voluntarily. Police have no known motive for their disappearance and continue to use all available resources to locate them.
