Israeli Women Missing in Vienna Prompt Police Command Post and Search Efforts

Mali and Liel Yahalomi, Israeli mother and daughter aged 50 and 23, have been missing in Vienna for five days after traveling from Prague. Their hotel room was found empty and their phone left near a bus station, raising concerns. Israeli police chief Major General Danny Levi held a special meeting and established a command post in Austria to coordinate the search, while Vienna police stated there is currently no indication of criminal activity or harm to the women.

The Israeli embassy in Austria has appealed to the public for help in locating the two women. The Yahalomi family hired the "Magen Search and Rescue" company, which dispatched a professional team to Austria to assist in the search. The family has also launched a crowdfunding campaign to finance the search efforts, including local professional assistance, travel, translation, logistics, and emergency expenses.

The family emphasized that Mali and Liel are experienced travelers who regularly update relatives, making the sudden loss of contact highly unusual and worrying. They have filed a police report and are in contact with the Israeli consulate in Vienna. The embassy urged anyone who encounters the women to ask them to urgently contact their family or call the embassy's emergency number.
