Israeli Police Intensify Search for Missing Israeli Women in Vienna

The Israeli Police Commissioner held a special situation assessment regarding the search efforts for the missing Israeli women in Vienna. The meeting included senior officials such as the head of the Investigations and Intelligence Division, the Intelligence Branch chief, Israeli police representatives abroad, and the police intelligence command center operating overseas. During the briefing, the commissioner received a comprehensive update on all investigative and intelligence activities being conducted both in Israel and internationally. He instructed that all necessary resources and means be allocated domestically and abroad to aid the investigation and to strengthen cooperation with all relevant parties until the women are found.

National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir recently spoke with the family of the missing Yahelomi women, Liel and Mali, who disappeared in Vienna. The minister's office conveyed that the National Security Ministry stands with the family during this difficult time and confirmed that the Israeli Police are fully engaged in assisting the search alongside local Austrian authorities. Ben-Gvir assured the family of his personal involvement and plans to coordinate with the Foreign Ministry and Prime Minister's Office to ensure diplomatic efforts support the search.

The Israeli Embassy in Vienna reported that contact was lost with Mali and Liel Yahelomi, mother and daughter, who were either invited to or staying in the city. Their whereabouts have been unknown since Friday, August 7. The Foreign Ministry and the embassy have appealed to the public for urgent assistance in locating the two, providing a dedicated emergency contact number and urging anyone with information to reach out to the Israeli authorities or local police immediately.
