Search Continues for Missing Israeli Mother and Daughter in Vienna After Hotel Room Found Empty

Israeli authorities and family members are intensifying efforts to locate Mally and Liel Yehalomi, a mother and daughter who have been missing in Vienna since last Friday. The pair, aged 50 and 23 respectively, were traveling through Vienna and Prague and were scheduled to return to Israel on Tuesday evening but never boarded their flight.

Search teams conducted a thorough check of the serviced apartment hotel where the women stayed, but their rooms were found empty without any personal belongings. Despite extensive efforts, no leads have emerged to explain their disappearance or indicate their whereabouts. The Israeli Embassy in Vienna has officially requested public assistance in locating them.

Family members explained that the women had planned their trip carefully, traveling by train from Prague to Vienna, and typically maintained regular contact. The sudden loss of communication since Friday is unusual, especially since they observe the Sabbath, which initially delayed concern. The family also noted that the women did not collect the kosher food they had ordered for the Sabbath, adding to the worry.

Israeli consular officials have been coordinating with local authorities, the hotel management, and the Chabad community in Vienna to gather information. The family has appealed to anyone with relevant information to contact them, the Austrian police, or the Israeli Embassy's emergency hotline. As of now, no suspicious circumstances have been reported by the women before their disappearance.
