Search Continues for Missing Israeli Mother and Daughter in Austria

Search efforts are ongoing in Austria for Mally and Liel Yahalomi, a mother and daughter who have been missing since last Friday. The two Israeli citizens, aged 50 and 23 respectively, traveled from Israel to Prague on August 4 and then continued to Vienna, where contact with them was lost. The Israeli embassy in Austria has appealed to the public for assistance in locating them.

Family members have launched a crowdfunding campaign to finance the search operations, citing the urgent need for local professional help, transportation, translation, logistics, and other emergency expenses. They emphasized the unusual and sudden loss of contact, noting that Mally and Liel are experienced travelers who usually keep in touch with family. The family has reported the disappearance to local police and is in contact with the Israeli consulate in Vienna.

The embassy has urged anyone who encounters the two women to ask them to urgently contact their family or the embassy's emergency number. Israeli security agencies have not yet become involved in the case. The family described the situation as a "family emergency" and stressed the importance of every hour in the search efforts.
