Lawyer Arbel Feldman Shot Dead in His Office in Rishon LeZion

Arbel Feldman, a lawyer in his 50s from Rishon LeZion, was fatally shot in his office on Rozhensky Street on Tuesday afternoon. The suspect, a man in his 20s from Ramla and a former client of Feldman, claimed the lawyer owed him 15,000 shekels related to a car accident compensation case. According to the suspect, he had been pursuing Feldman for three years over the debt. After a brief meeting in the office, the suspect drew a firearm and shot Feldman multiple times, killing him at the scene. Witnesses reported hearing a loud verbal argument before the shooting.

Emergency services, including United Hatzalah and Magen David Adom, arrived quickly but could only confirm Feldman's death. Feldman's partner found him and called for help. The suspect fled on foot but surrendered hours later at the Ashdod police station. During interrogation by the Central District Police, he admitted to the shooting, stating he came prepared with a gun and fired without much discussion. He refused to disclose the gun's origin and said he walked from Rishon LeZion to Ashdod after the shooting.

The police launched an extensive investigation led by the Central District Police, with the Central District commander arriving at the scene. Authorities plan to request a 15-day extension of the suspect's detention. Feldman leaves behind a wife and three children, and his family expressed shock over the incident.
