Man Confesses to Killing Lawyer in Rishon Lezion Over Financial Dispute

A 23-year-old man from Ramla confessed to police that he shot and killed a lawyer in Rishon Lezion because he was defrauded and stolen from, according to a report by Kan News on Tuesday evening. The suspect told officers, "I shot him. He scammed me with money and stole tens of thousands of shekels from me." Investigators recorded the confession and silenced the suspect until the formal investigation begins, which has not yet started.

Police stated the suspect arrived at the lawyer's office intending to kill him due to their financial dispute. The firearm used was unlicensed and has not yet been recovered; authorities plan to pressure the suspect to reveal its location. The suspect has a prior record involving property crimes and weapons.

The lawyer was found earlier that day by his law partner, shot in the head. The two had met for several minutes before the shooting. Investigators identified the suspect based on the argument that took place moments before the gunfire. The Central District Police Commander said four bullets were fired during the incident and noted, "The client was not satisfied with the service."
