Man Kills Lawyer in Rishon Lezion Office, Confesses After Fleeing Scene

A 50-year-old lawyer was fatally shot around 1 p.m. on Tuesday in his office on Rozhensky Street in Rishon Lezion. Surveillance footage released hours later shows the suspect entering the building with his hands in his pockets just seconds before the shooting. The victim's partner discovered him wounded and immediately called emergency services. According to the partner's testimony, the suspect entered the office, gunshots were heard, and the lawyer was found lying on the floor before the suspect fled.

The suspect, a 32-year-old resident of Ramla, reportedly was dissatisfied with the service he received from the lawyer. He was armed with a handgun, took an elevator to the lawyer's office, and opened fire in front of two witnesses before escaping. Police commander Amir Cohen stated the suspect surrendered himself during the ongoing manhunt and admitted to the shooting. The investigation is being led by the Central District Police's YAMAR unit.

Emergency medical responders from Magen David Adom arrived at the scene to find the lawyer unconscious, without pulse or breathing, with a penetrating injury. Despite medical efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene. In a related incident on Saturday night in Netivot, a 36-year-old man known to police was killed and a 29-year-old was lightly injured in a shooting. A local man in his 40s was arrested hours later on suspicion of involvement and is under investigation by the Negev YAMAR unit.
