Lawyer Arbel Feldman Fatally Shot in His Office in Rishon Lezion

Arbel Feldman, a lawyer from Rishon Lezion, was shot and killed in his office on Tuesday. Feldman, who left behind a wife and three children, was reportedly murdered by one of his clients, a 23-year-old resident of Ramla. The suspect is expected to appear soon for a remand hearing, while the firearm used in the shooting has not yet been found.

Security footage shows the suspect entering the building’s lobby calmly before heading to Feldman’s office shortly before the shooting. The incident occurred on Rozansky Street in Rishon Lezion. After the shooting, the suspect fled but later surrendered at a police station in Ashdod. Feldman’s partner discovered him shot and immediately called emergency services, but paramedics pronounced Feldman dead at the scene.

Investigations suggest the motive was financial, involving a dispute over a 15,000 shekel compensation payment that the suspect claimed never reached him, while Feldman asserted he had given the money to the suspect’s father. The suspect reportedly did not have a license to carry a weapon. It remains unclear whether the killing was premeditated or the result of an escalated confrontation.

Feldman’s partner described hearing brief conversation followed by gunshots and then seeing the suspect leave quickly. Lawyer Yaron Forer, who knew Feldman, described him as calm and kind, never seen angry. Feldman’s partner called him a modest and gentle person devoted to his family, who was planning a vacation abroad with them the following week. Both expressed shock, emphasizing Feldman’s lack of any criminal ties, though he had mentioned being troubled by a client.
