Maccabi Haifa began preparations for the 2026/27 Premier League season on Sunday evening, with players undergoing medical checks at the Sami Ofer medical center. The team will hold its first preseason training session on Monday at Kafer Gלים, and the official opening of training is scheduled for Sunday. The club’s training camp will take place in Hungary, with the squad due to depart next Tuesday.
Dolev Haziza is expected to show up for the start of training, even though Maccabi Haifa has told him he is not in its plans for next season. In a conversation attended by the professional staff, he was informed that the club is not counting on him for 2026/27 and that he should look for a new team. Dixon Mohammed, the 18-year-old brother of Ali Mohammed, is also expected to join the opening of training.
Among the players expected at Monday’s session are Sherif Kiouf, Mark Golenkov, Glen Alvin, Yila Betay, Zohar Zasno, Yablo Gatacho, Noam Stipman, Elad Amir, Pedrao, Lisb Issat, Sean Goldberg, Daniel Goulani, Kenny Saief, Itay Ahud, Navot Ratner, Ali Mohammed, Yarin Levy, Amit Arzi, Lior Kasa, Eitan Azoulay, Yair Mordechai, Cedric Don, Iyad Halaili, Dolev Haziza, Manuel Benson, Silve Kani, Adam Grimberg, Guy Melamed and Niv Gabay.
Georgi Yermakov, Dixon Mohammed, Peter Agba and Trevante Stewart are set to join in the coming days. Kenji Hora, who is with Curaçao at the World Cup, is expected to arrive only after the team returns from the training camp. Loan players Xander Sobrina, Matthias Nahuel, Manuel Show Capomana and Goni Naor will finish their loans on June 30 and begin training with the club from July 1.
