Maccabi Haifa opened training on Tuesday night for the 2026/27 season, a campaign in which the club will not play in Europe. Among the familiar faces at the first session was captain Dolev Haziza, even though he is not in the coaching staff’s plans for next season, as Channel 5 Sports first reported.
Haziza has been one of the top players in the Israeli Premier League in recent years. This season he scored nine goals, and for now he is waiting for offers from major clubs in Israel and from abroad. His representatives are already examining several options early in the transfer window.
The winger still has one more year left on his contract with Maccabi Haifa. Other players who attended the opening training under coach Barak Bakhar included Dixon Muhammad and Yarin Levi.
