Maccabi Haifa will begin preparations for the 2026/27 season on Tuesday, with Barak Bakhar conducting the first training session alongside his new staff. For assistant coach David Marten and fitness coach Lidor Ganon, it will be their first session with the club, while fitness coach Gal Vakanin is returning to the senior team.
The most notable players around the opening day are Yarin Levi and Yair Mordechai. The winger from Kiryat Shmona will make his first training appearance and is currently Haifa’s only signing. Levi is back in green after two years at Beitar Jerusalem, and the club is already negotiating a new contract in an effort to keep the young talent at the Carmel for as long as possible.
Dolev Haziza, who was informed that he is not part of the professional plans, according to an earlier report by Sport Channel, is also expected to arrive at the training center in Kfar Galim and see his teammates for the first time since the announcement.
Some players will join the training camp later, giving Bakhar a chance to evaluate loaned-out players and members of the youth team as preseason gets underway.
