Maccabi Haifa Reaches Agreement to Renew Yarin Levi's Contract Without Early Release Clause

Maccabi Haifa has reached an agreement to renew midfielder Yarin Levi's contract, which will not include a release clause for the first year. Levi, who spent the past two seasons on loan at Beitar Jerusalem, has returned to the club where he developed as a youth player. The official announcement of the contract signing is expected after the 9th of Av.

The team is currently preparing for the upcoming season, resuming training after a day of rest and scheduling a final friendly match against Hapoel Kfar Saba on Tuesday. Recently, Maccabi Haifa signed Serbian-American forward Andrea Novakovic, who is set to arrive in Israel soon, and Brazilian defender Tsunami, who landed yesterday. The squad currently includes seven foreign players, with one uncertain (Pedrao) and another injured (Manuel Benson). The club is considering whether to activate these two players and decide on adding an eighth foreign player.

Coach Barak Bachar is building the midfield around Levi this season, reflecting the club's confidence in the player after his loan spells. Levi will receive a significant salary increase with the new contract, which will be formally signed after the Jewish fast day of Tisha B'Av.
