Maccabi Haifa informed veteran midfielder Dolav Haziza on Sunday that he will not be part of the club’s plans for the 2026/27 season. The message was delivered in a professional meeting with sporting director Lior Refaelov and head coach Barak Bakhar.
Haziza joined Maccabi Haifa in the summer of 2019 and became one of the club’s most important players in recent years. The club said he was a central figure in one of the most successful periods in its history, noting not only his on-field contribution but also his influence in the dressing room and his bond with supporters.
Refaelov said, “Dolav gave a lot to Maccabi Haifa and is rightly deservedly highly appreciated for his time at the club. As part of building the squad for next season, a professional decision was made, and the matter was conveyed to Dolav directly and respectfully.”
Maccabi Haifa said the process will continue with Haziza and his representatives, “out of full respect for his contribution.”
