Maccabi Haifa has informed captain Dolev Haziza that he is not part of the club’s professional plans for the 2026/27 season. In a meeting held in the presence of the technical staff, Haziza was told the club is not counting on him next season and that he should find a new team.
Haziza, 30, has been one of Haifa’s most important players in recent years. He joined the club in 2019 from Bnei Yehuda and later became captain. He still has one year left on his contract.
During his time at Maccabi Haifa, Haziza won three league championships with the club and also played in the Champions League. This season, he scored nine goals in all competitions and added two assists.
