Maccabi Haifa began preparations for the 2026/27 Israeli Premier League season on Sunday evening, with players undergoing medical tests at the Sami Ofer medical center. The team will hold preseason training on Monday in Kfar Galim, open formal training on Sunday, and leave for a training camp in Hungary next Tuesday.
Despite being told he is not part of the club's plans for next season, Dolev Haziza is expected to show up for the first training sessions. In a meeting with the coaching staff, he was informed that Maccabi Haifa is not counting on him for 2026/27 and that he should look for a new club. Also expected at the opening of training is 18-year-old Dixon Muhammad, the brother of Ali Muhammad.
Among the players expected to attend Monday's session are Sharif Kiyof, Mark Golenkov, Glen Alvin, Yila Batai, Zohar Zasano, Yablo Gatatchou, Noam Shtayfman, Elad Amir, Pedrao, Lisb Eissat, Sean Goldberg, Daniel Julani, Kenny Saief, Itai Ehud, Navot Ratner, Ali Muhammad, Yarin Levy, Amit Arzi, Lior Kassa, Eitan Azoulay, Yair Mordechai, Cedric Don, Iad Halaili, Manuel Benson, Silva Kani, Adam Grimberg, Guy Melamed and Niv Gabay.
Georgi Yermakov, Dixon Muhammad, Peter Agba and Trivante Stewart are expected to join in the coming days. Kenji Gora, who is with Curacao at the World Cup, is due to join only after the squad returns from the training camp. Several loaned-out players, Kassander Sabrina, Matthias Nahuel, Manuel Show Capomana and Goni Naor, will finish their loans on June 30 and return to train with the club from July 1.
