Maccabi Haifa has informed captain Dolev Haziza that he is not part of the club’s professional plans for the next season. In a meeting attended by the coaching staff, he was told the club is not counting on him for 2026/27 and that he should look for a new team.
Haziza, 30, has been one of Haifa’s key players in recent years and has served as captain. He joined the club in 2019 from Bnei Yehuda and still has one more year left on his contract.
During his time at Maccabi Haifa, Haziza won three championships and played in the Champions League. This season he scored nine goals in all competitions and added two assists. Over the year, he alternated between playing as a winger and as a central midfielder.
