Maccabi Haifa is heading into a sweeping reset ahead of the 2025/26 season, with winger Dolev Haziza no longer in the club’s plans. Haziza played in 35 matches last season, the third-highest total among Haifa’s outfield players, but he is now expected to leave as part of a broad turnover at the club.
The changes also affect several other regulars. Yila Batai will stay, but Tervante Stewart is on the market and Haifa wants to sell him in a profitable deal in order to sign a foreign striker in his place. Abdoulaye Seck, who started 29 matches and was a defensive anchor, is also not expected to continue.
Peter Agba, who arrived last summer, was another important player, appearing in 27 matches in all competitions and rotating into the starting lineup. Lisav Eissat started 28 matches and may depart as well, while goalkeeper Georgiy Yermakov is in demand. That means at least three of the eight outfielders with the most appearances, Stewart, Haziza and Seck, are unlikely to remain, with Eissat’s future still uncertain.
The squad shake-up comes alongside a staffing change around coach Barak Bakhar. David Marten has been appointed assistant coach. Daniel Golani and Yarin Levi will return from loan spells at Tiberias and Beitar Jerusalem, respectively. Iyad Khalaili and Itai Ehud are also set to stay, while the rest of the loanees are not expected to play for the club next season.
